MY JOURNEY

I first found yoga whilst recovering from spine operation (discectomy) in 2007, I have been practicing yoga ever since.

I started my yoga journey when I joined a leisure centre to swim mainly, so I had the water to support my recovering spine and what seemed a broken body. I was quite depressed, in constant pain and on lots of medication. I could not even lay flat on my back without getting stuck! I made a friend at the poolside, she persuaded me to go to a Yoga class, I was so lucky that day, Dr P Spencer was teaching, he has been my Yoga Guru ever since.

I trained with British Wheel of Yoga 300+hrs foundation course and Teacher Training. As part of this I have continuous development goals to reach throughout the year to keep my BWY teacher status. I regularly attend workshops and courses to strengthen and further my knowledge of different yoga practices and teaching techniques, you never stop learning with yoga finding new sequences from my Yoga Gurus, students and self-practice.

Being able to pass on my yoga learnings and experience is a real gift and I love to share this with as many people as possible, bringing nourishment and santosha (contentment) to their life.

Yoga is a life tool, to pop in your back pocket, the sooner you have it the better, and I would really like to help you find Yoga. In conclusion, I believe that some time in everyone's life, you will need Yoga to heal you, this could be physically or mentally.

Let it hurt, let it bleed, let it go, find happiness and peace.

Namaste, Debbie X
